LEGADO DEL MONCAYO CAMPO DE BORJA GARNACHA 2013, SPAIN
"The Isaac Fernandez Selection 2013 Garnacha Legado del Moncayo Campo de Borja displays assertively perfumed scents and flavors of fresh raspberry and Asian spices, with a subtle floral quality and zesty minerality adding lift. Silky and precise, it finishes long and gently tannic, with floral and red fruit notes lingering." - "Screaming Values: Outstanding Garnacha for everyday drinking"

"Garnacha (the Spanish name for grenache) from Campo de Borja has been Spains cash-flow wine for several years. It tends to be effusively grapey and almost sweet; impressive and fun for the money, if one-dimensional. The Legado del Moncayo adds a bit of complexity, as it features spicy boysenberry and blueberry flavors, some black olive and tea, with a hint of exotic herbs crushed underfoot. (Would that be grass? Thyme? Sage?)
** 1/2 Stars (Between Excellent and Exceptional) WASHINGTON POST

"Deep ruby. Assertively perfumed bouquet evokes fresh raspberry and Asian spices, with a subtle floral quality and zesty minerality. Silky and precise on the palate, offering sappy red fruit and floral pastille flavors underscored by zesty minerality. Spicy and seamless on the long, gently tannic finish, which leaves floral and red fruit notes behind."
