It's that time of year when the wine industry's "Top 100" lists appear- and retailers and consumers lament their inability to actually taste any of the wines being honored.  As usual, Finewine.com is making a special effort to obtain as many of these wines as possible, in as much quantity as possible.  So far, we have obtained four of the wines in the Wine Spectator's Top 100- wines that are largely unavailable elsewhere.  Two of these four wines are currently in stock, and two more are arriving next week but are available for immediate presell.  All are available only in very limited quantities, and there is no chance of resupply.  As a bonus, we have also obtained two of Wine Enthusiast's Top 100- one currently in stock, the other also arriving next week (again, available for advance purchase).  Yes, some of these cost more than our usual feature wines, but they represent the pinnacle of quality and would be a perfect gift to the wine lover in your life- even if that wine lover is you!    

- Diora Splendor du Solieul Chardonnay 2019: "Excellently presented aromas of butter, nectarine, warm almond and white flower are delicate but expressive on the nose of this bottling. An immediate acidity races through the palate, lifting the toasty and buttery elements while pairing smartly against the ripe citrus and white flower elements."  Wine Enthusiast: 93 points
- Badia al Coltibuono Cianti Classico 2018: "Though ripe and lush, this is also dense, with pointed tannins giving a physical sensation and lifting the cherry, strawberry and floral flavors. Finds a nice youthful equilibrium in the end, where mouthwatering acidity roams."  Wine Spectator: 93
- Ridge Geyserville Red Blend 2019: "Dark garnet red with classic Geyserville nose of ripe black cherry and plum, gravel, wintergreen, and beautiful oak spice. Deep and sensuously layered with polished tannins, river-rock minerality, and a long finish. Blend: 71% Zinfandel, 19% Carignane, 7% Petite Sirah, 3% Alicante Bouschet."  Wine Spectator: 93 points
- Evening Land Chardonnay Eola-Amity Hills Seven Springs 2018: "In a world dominated by Pinot Noir, the Chardonnays of Evening Land have quietly earned a loyal following. The bright, clean, and lively Seven Springs Chardonnay grows in the rockier areas of the vineyard’s mid-slope, offering a precise wine of clarity and finesse.  Vibrant and steely, with layers of lime and Meyer lemon that show wet stone accents, building toward a snappy finish."  Wine Spectator: 93
- De Martino Cabernet Sauvignon 2019: "This rich and refined red has decadently spiced dark cherry and plum flavors that show toasty accents. Ends with tar and mocha hints on the structured finish."  Wine Spectator: 91
