THURSDAY, 30 DECEMBER, 5-7 PM Finewine.com is offering a FREE Thursday wine tasting of some Italian favorites that offer great value as well as great character, courtesy of our friend Davide Megna of Impero. We'll start with a crowd-pleasing Prosecco from Gambino, then follow with four super Italian reds, starting with a Nero d'Avola from Tareni, a classic southern Italian grape. Then we'll sample one of our very favorite grapes, a Barbera d'Alba from Broccardo, followed by a Primitivo (AKA Zinfandel) from Lu Rappaio that will provide an Italian take on a grape most commonly identified with America. Finally, we'll conclude with a bang with a big, classic wine from italy's Veronese region- a Valpolicella Ripasso from Tinazzi! And as always, all tasting wines will be on sale all day Thursday!
