A FAVORITE ROSÉ AT A SUPER PRICE: BUT SUPPLY IS LIMITED!!

CAMBRIA'S "JULIA'S VINEYARD" PINOT NOIR ROSÉ 2021:

$25 AT THE WINERY- ONLY $17.98 THIS WEEK!!

"This Rosé of Pinot Noir has pronounced aromas of white peach, strawberry and citrus. The palate is medium-bodied, with balancing and refreshing acidity, leading to a finish that expresses watermelon and grapefruit. A summer favorite, perfect for brunch or a picnic."

"This rosé displays a beautiful bright pink color, with distinct aromas of strawberry, peach, and mild hints of citrus.  The wine greets your palate with a delightfully rich texture, fruity freshness that emphasizes the natural acidity of the Pinot Noir grape, and beautiful balance that carries through the expressive red-fruit finish.  Delightful!" - Karen Klemow & Larry Ciolorito- 91 points

Spring weather is finally here to stay later this week, so what better wine to feature than one of the best Rosés that we've tasted in the last year- and at a price that you can't beat?  Finewine.com has long carried Cambria's "Julia's Vineyard" Pinot Noir, a delicious Santa Barbara County Pinot named for Julia Jackson, one of the second-generation leaders of the Kendall-Jackson wine family.  While we love the Julia's Vineyard Pinot Noir, we've never carried the Pinot Noir Rosé from the same estate- until today!  We absolutely loved the 2021 "Julia's Vineyard" Rosé of Pinot Noir when we tasted it recently (see our tasting notes above).  The one drawback is that it's usually a bit pricey- $25 at the winery and at least that much here- but this week we got a great deal on a very limited supply, and we're offering this super rosé is at an unbeatable sale price of only $17.98 (!)- while supplies last.

Julia’s Vineyard Rosé of Pinot Noir is crafted from select vineyard blocks on the Cambria estate in Santa Barbara County California, specifically from the sub-appellation of Santa Maria Valley.  Julia’s Vineyard consists of ancient soils with fossilized seashells, shale, limestone and sand, with fog swept vines that have endured since shortly after modern viticulture begain in the valley in the 1960s.  Growers hoped the area could produce grapes to rival those of Napa Valley, but Santa Maria's unique geography produces conditions very different from those of Napa.  Santa Maria Valley is funnel-shaped, opening west to the Pacific Ocean.  That geography channels dense banks of morning fog from the Pacific that take hours to burn off, to be replaced by chilly afternoon breezes.  This “maritime fringe” climate lengthens the growing season and contributes to conditions that are ideal for the two premier grapes produced there- Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.  And this luscious rosé shows the pronounced benefits of this long and temperate growing season, perfect for Pinot Noir- and for Pinot Noir Rosé!

We'll finish by re-emphasizing three basic points: Cambria's 2021 "Julia’s Vineyard" Rosé of Pinot Noir is simply delicious (see our tasting notes above!); Finewine.com's Sale Price of $17.98 is a super-great deal on a wine that usually costs at least $25; and supplies at this price are strictly limitedthere is no more where this came from!  Enough said.  Trust us, you'll love this wine- but at this price you'd better not delay!

JUST A LITTLE BIT LEFT: PIONEIRO VINHO TINTO 2018

THE WASHINGTON POST'S #1 BARGAIN OF THE YEAR IS BACK

"Portugal should no longer surprise us with its value wines. And yet, this one gobsmacked me with the complexity it offers for this price. Boysenberry, blueberry, tobacco leaf and autumn leaves seemed to swirl in my glass, even on the first night. More impressively, the flavors developed and became increasingly intertwined over the next several days....this wine would make a great case purchase to be your house red for the first months of 2022."  Dave McIntyre, Washington Post: Exceptional (3 Stars)
