OUR NEXT GREAT WINE CLASS:
"EXPLORING THE GRAPES OF FRANCE"
Wed, 28 Feb, 7 PM & Thu, 29 Feb, 7 PM
France is a land of ancient history, world-class cuisine, beautiful landscapes- and home to many- indeed most- of the most famous and popular wine grapes in the world. Centuries of experimentation have cultivated and popularized grapes in regions such as Champagne and the Loire Valley in the north, Alsace and Burgundy in the east, Bordeaux in the southwest, and the Rhone Valley in the southeast. Every region of France produces wines from the grapes that thrive in its particular climate and soil. In this class, we’ll explore some of the best wines from some of the best and most distinctive of these grapes. Favorites such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Gris, Malbec and more may make an appearance.
So join us in February for the next in our series of wine classes: “Exploring the Grapes of France”. We’ll taste and compare 10 classic wines, and we’ll offer light hors d’oeuvres to complement the wines. Tasting classes at Finewine.com are geared to both beginners and experienced wine aficionados alike, and this class will offer something for everyone. So join the expert Finewine.com staff as we explore the amazing French grapes that give rise to some of the world's greatest wines. Come taste, learn, discuss and enjoy!
