Fantini Atzel Description
From the Southwestern part of the Mediterranean island of Sardinia, this is made from the Cannonau grape; otherwise known as Grenache/Garnacha. The grape is native to the Mediterranean and thrives in warm climates. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, it is bright ruby in color with notes of ripe red strawberry, black cherry, violet and dried herbs. Silky tannins make it delicious alone, and it would pair well with grilled meat, smoked eggplant, and aged hard cheeses. Saragat is a style of looming unique to Sardinia which features vivid colors and patterns, as shown in the traditional dress of the woman on the label.
